【ANN NEWS, AZUSA】 A brush fire broke out on a hillside in Azusa, Los Angeles County, on the evening of September 12, at one point approaching homes near the foothills. Visible flames spread across several parts of the hillside, sending thick smoke into the night sky. Firefighters responded to the blaze, with helicopters assisting from the air. By later that evening, visible flames had been significantly reduced and the fire was largely under control.

Photos and videos obtained by ANN NEWS show that when the fire broke out, flames on the hillside were relatively close to some homes, while thick smoke temporarily blanketed nearby areas. Firefighting helicopters continued operating over the fire. Following firefighting efforts, large areas of visible flames on the hillside gradually disappeared, leaving only scattered hot spots.

There have been no reports so far indicating that nearby homes were directly damaged by the fire, and no injuries or fatalities have been reported. The exact acreage burned, the cause of the fire and the fire department’s final response details have yet to be officially released.
